This is an excellent first page to which I'm certain will be an excellent comic series, being told the main concept of the story first ...

So, I'm practice 3D animation in Maya and I have a couple of rigged models queued up to use. My problem is that I don't really know where to start.

I don't really have any projects, I just want to start small until I've got the hang of things. So I'm looking for some advice on exercises or warm ups that I could try to help me hone my skills.

On a side note, does anyone know of some good resources for free rigged models?
So just to clarify. I'm an animator. Well, an animation student, and I have some fairly ambitious goals of becoming a story teller. To have the many story ideas that I've had swimming in my head come to life in the form of movies or shows. Now I don't have much experience as a writer, but I want to learn, and I want to start putting my story ideas onto paper, so that I can both develop them further and hone my writing abilities. My question is whether or not I should do so in the for of a screenplay for these would-be movies or shows or should I write them in the form of a novel/prose? Which would help me learn the ropes better and which would better allow me to develop the story? Is there a happy medium?
I have a 1TB external Hard Drive, that I had just bought an enclosure for. Upon hooking it up and testing it out, everything seemed to work fine, but instead of having 1TB total memory it says that there is only around 7GB. I'm not sure what the problem is.
On of the most frustrating aspects of drawing for me is trying to come up with a really good and dynamic pose for a character. So I want to know of any good sources for fluid poses to help get some kind of inspiration. Any place, whether it be on this or any other website, a book (hell, even a comic book). Anything will help.
I was wondering how do you usually go about coming up with outfits for characters to wear?

I recently had a bit of a negative epiphany, and that is that I'm terrible at this. I'm by no means a fashion designer, nor do I have any aspiration to be one, so recently I've just been looking up cool clothes of Google, Pintrest, etc. in order to come up with ideas for how to dress characters.

So how do you usually manage this sort of thing?
So I haven't updated in awhile, like over a year. No real reason for that... I just haven't.
Anyway, I haven't really had anything to post, at the moment, nor do I really have much intention to post
anything.
I've been fairly busy with my classes, and I've even been taking some drawing classes as well. I'm planning to transfer next semester and start working on a degree in animation.

That's about it.

My goals in life are to become an awesome animator, complete my portal to Mars and grow the greatest beard of all time.

My account right now is somewhat of a barren wasteland, I have never had the greatest attention span so sometimes when I'm working on something, I'll get sidetracked and end up never finishing and you know sometime you have that motivation or you don't. I'm getting better at this though and very soon I hope to have tons of (semi-tolerable) artwork in my gallery, for all to enjoy, and if you're willing to bare with me until this happens, I will greatly appreciate it.
